We host two interview days in the fall before the season starts, typically in October.

Before you apply, you must be able to complete the following:

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be available to work a variety of shits including holiday, weekend and night shifts
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Be punctual, neat and outgoing
• Calmly, quickly and efficiently multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Work with others as a team to get tasks completed
• Assist with maintaining a clean venue
• Work in cold temperatures due to outdoor nature of rink

The following additional skills are a plus:
• Ice skating experience
• Cashiering
• Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking)
• Previous customer service experience

EMPLOYMENT POSITION OPPORTUNITIES

SKATE SHED
Previous skating experience is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities include:
• Dispensing rental skates to patrons upon presentation of appropriate session wristband
• Collecting and re-shelving skates at the end of each session in a prompt, orderly fashion
• Assisting in ice maintenance, skate maintenance and storage
• Depending on your skating ability, may include skating on the ice with patrons to help ensure guest safety and assistance as needed
• Checking skaters for appropriate session wristbands as they enter the ice
• Explaining to customers the rules designed to maintain safety for all patrons
• Assisting in cleanliness of public skate changing areas, skate shed, restrooms, entrance, and party tent
• Explaining to customers the rules designed to maintain safety for all patrons
• Assisting with making various announcements at the beginning, during, and end of skating sessions.

TICKET BOOTH
The ability to work up to 30 hours per week and count change and dispense receipts are a must.

Responsibilities include:
• Interacting with customers both in person and over the phone, providing excellent customer service
• Greeting customers and communicating rink event information
• Processing transactions for the purchase of skate sessions and miscellaneous services and products
• Processing credit card and cash payment transactions
• Accurately counting down cash and maintaining cash drawer balance

SNACK SHACK
As a food handler, you must have a California Food Handler Card, which can be obtained through a quick and simple online course before the start of your first shift.

Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and serving basic beverage and snack concessions
• Overseeing operations of the snack shack area
• Maintaining ongoing cleanliness of the concession area, concession equipment, and party tent
• Processing credit card and cash payment transactions
• Counting change and dispensing receipts
• Accurately counting down cash and maintaining cash drawer balance
